UBE HALAYA

Ube halaya classic delicacy from Philippines. It is made of purple yam, coconut milk, and butter. You will fall in love with it’s creamy, cheesy, and topped with golden latik. It is part of Filipino culture like birthday, Christmas party, noche buena, and also in the market where you can buy different kakanin like biko,sapin-sapin,puto,bibingka,kutsinta,espasol,and halayang ube.

Here are the ingredients in making ube halaya.

1 package (16 ounces) frozen grated ube,thawed

1 can (13.5 ounces) coconut milk

1 can (14 ounces) sweet sweetend condensed milk

1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk

1/2 cup butter

1 cup of sugar

1 cup processed cheese (Eden brand), shredded

For the latik

2 cups of coconut cream

Making ube halaya is almost similar in making nilupak. It starts in boiling and steaming and then cook slow in the mixture of coconut milk, evaporated milk, condensed milk, butter and sugar to form a thick, sweet contoction. The process is pretty simple, but it does need a bit of patience because it takes much time in making of it but trust me you will never regret it will be worth it once you already cooked and taste it.

You can also make this as a source of financial support . There’s money in making ube halaya but first you need to have determination and patience. You’ll never know someday you’ll achieve all of your dreams in just making halayang ube and if it happen you will make our country happy of you.

So what are you waiting for? Think of it and be wiser. Good luck!!💜💜💜
